Raptor Low Voltage 24 Volt Heavy Duty Articulating Arm Operator
The Raptor Articulating Arm System Is a High-End ITALIAN 24 Volt Metal Gearbox Articulating Arm Operator in the Extra Heavy Duty Class, Flexible, Strong and and Resilient the operator can swing gate weights of up to an outstanding 800KG (Wrought Iron Gates) and Gates up to 4.2m (14FT). Construction is Heavy Duty and Solid with a all metal reduction gear systems structure encapsulated into a die-cast housing.
Flexibility is standard thanks to the spherical ball joint connection points on the arm. Both joins in the arm have excellent flexibility allowing for gate operation even when the gate is out of level or a rising gate application. The steel arms continue the heavy duty capabilities of the operators being constructed from laser cut steel at an 8mm thickness for high strength and the post bracket also carries its weight at 5mm thickness also from laser cut steel.
The Raptor series operator is 100% Universal meaning the operator could be installed on EITHER side of the driveway and is suitable for both Inwards (Pull to Open) and Outwards (Push to Open) installations with a clever clutch release system (Emergency release) is available on both sides of the operator.
The Raptor operator uses micro switches (Limit Switches) for both the Open and also the Closed positions allowing for precise and easily adjustable cut off point for each position. Micro switches are wired back to the gate control board for easier designation of both positions without the requirement of any electronics within the gate motor.
The prerequisite for a Raptor operator is a mounting area of 215mm, this is typically available on piers, pillars and large posts. If you have a narrow post the mounting area requirement can be reduced by drilling additional holes in the post bracket OR the post could be extended by installing a heavy duty bracket on the side of the post. The clearance area required for a Raptor operators arm when the gate is open to 90 Degrees (arm folded back) is 450mm.
Both Cable rolls required (DC Motor and Limit Switches) is available as an add on (in the kit contents tab) if cable has not been pre-laid before hand), a total of 5 wires is used to operate a Raptor.

OPTIONAL Uninterrupted Battery Backup System
The optional uninterrupted battery backup system allows for continued use in the case of power loss without the need for any user intervention, it will continue to allow system operation including any system accessories for 24 hours OR until the power is restored. The batteries are automatically recharged when power is restored and trickle whilst power is available Directly fitting into the systems compartment there is no need for any additional storage boxes.
If the optional battery system is not desired the system can still be manually release using the secure override system when applicable.

The External 24V Transformer is designed to be installed outdoors or in a garage/carport. The transformer will plug into an ordinary power point and output a safe LOW VOLTAGE supply to the gate system. Being built to an uncompromised and higher specification unit it is capable of a low voltage run of up to 100 meters making it suitable for most installations that do not have a power point nearby to the gate.
