SENTRY SUPER DUTY Brushless 24 Volt DC Boom Gate

Automatic heavy duty electric and solar gate for driveways

The Sentry low voltage 24 Volts Boom Arm Barrier Gate is the latest in cutting edge technology. Within the boom gates powder coated steel casing lies the heart of the system the brushless 24V 150 Watts motor, tested for over 5 million total cycles the dynamic brushless motor can run at 80% duty cycle suiting almost every application from large scale parking structures, commercial environments, down to small scale entry management such as caravan parks.

The boom gate kit is supplied with an adjustable aluminum arm, the length is adjustable for a maximum of 6 meters fully expanded to a minimum of 3.5m whilst fully retracted, whilst installing set the arm to the appropriate size and simply install the set screw. Furthermore the arm can actually be cut down to a minimum length of 1 meter if the application so requires. Please note to choose the intended arm length correctly as each kit is supplied with the balancing spring pack to suit.

The system is equipped with a multi-speed adjustment allowing for total tuning of speed of operation from 2.4 seconds with short arms to 4 seconds at fastest on long arms. If required the system can be slowed to an 8 second operation speed.

The versatile brushless logic controller (control board) will control the accessories inputs and there power supply, lights output, up and down position relays and a number of setting changes for speed, arm positions and much more. The brushless motors hall effect sensor is also connected to the controller proving the best possible arm accuracy as there is no dependence on limit switches or alike.

The Dukie XR series retro-reflective sensor kit will provide an invisible to the eye infrared beam across the driveway to prevent the gate closing from obstacles in the beams path. Only the sensor requires wiring back to the gate controller as the sensor bounces its own beam back via the reflector installed on the far side of the driveway.

An easy to install WIRELESS AUTOMATIC OPENING driveway vehicle detection system

Multiple hours saved, materials saved and frustrations gone Long gone are the days of cutting concrete, chasing wires and configuring induction loop detectors (ground loop). Finally, a simple WIRELESS solution to streamline the installation process. The WIRELESS loop detector SIMPLY BOLT DOWN to a concrete driveway (or concrete pad in gravel driveways) and wirelessly communicate back with the gate system using the supplied high security (128 Bit) transceiver for two way communication between the New Generation wireless loops. The wireless exit “loop” is maintenance free and installed with Replaceable Lithium batteries for up to TEN YEAR use period before a battery replacement is required, to replace the batteries simply remove the top cover and fit the new Lithium batteries. * 10 year battery lifetime based on 50 activations per day, 8 years at 100 activations per days, 4 years at 300 activations per day. 

 How does it work and what happens if I accidently drive over it? The wireless loop is designed for a vehicle to drive over and will detect the undercarriage of the vehicle, if its accidently driven over it presents no issue whatsoever as its casing carries a static load capacity of 10,000kg (10 Tonnes). 

 How far can i have it from the gate? Thanks to its high transmission range capabilities it has a maximum wireless operating distance of 50 meters. 

 How big is it? Its compact form factor allows for a discreet installation measuring only 220x220mm Length and Width and only 26mm in height. 

 Will it work with my system? Typically, YES, it will work with any gate system that has an open command input and an accessories voltage output of 12-24V DC 

Which installations does this suit? Any domestic or commercial installations which fit the following criteria:
A concrete pad or driveway is available for the device to be installed on to 
When a vehicle is parked it does not sit within 3 meters of the device 
The device does not sit in a recess and pool water, snow or any debris 
Not nearby to high voltage cables 

 Please note forklifts and other heavy machinery physical touching the detector may cause breakage, use the flush mount version instead. How is it installed? 
1. Connect the transceiver to the gates control board, this must be installed within the gate controller or any enclosure 
2. Power on the transceiver and have the loop touching the antenna of the transceiver. 
3. Once the transceiver flashes its blue led and the loop flashes its yellow led they are now paired together. 
4. Remove backing plate from the loop and install to concrete using the supplied concrete screw bolts, ensure the arrow faces the direction of travel for exit (faces towards the gate). 
5. Install the wireless loop to the backing plate and allow 3 minutes for calibration Test to confirm operation, job done!
